Wang Lee Hom is one of the most popular faces in the Chinese/Taiwanese entertainment industry, despite the fact that he was actually born in Rochester, New York. He is known for experimenting and changing music styles in his albums. One of his more notable music styles is called ‘Chinked-out’. This style combines traditional Chinese elements with modern hip-hop. His popularity is affirmed by the fact that he was one of the first torchbearers in the 2008 Olympics, and was in the ending ceremony as well. His talent as an entertainer includes, but is not limited to, knowledge of more than 12 instruments, acting, singing, and directing.

S.H.E. is a girl group from Taiwan. The group consists of Selina, Hebe, and Ella, and the group’s name originates from the girls’ first names. When the group started, there were more boy bands in Taiwan, which may have contributed to their popularity. Their musical style is mostly light pop, and about 1/3 of their recorded songs are covers. Their covers include songs from Asia, to songs from the US, like Britney Spears’ ‘Everytime’. (Songs from the US are translated into Mandarin.)
